Overview This project investigated the presence of mycotoxins produced by fungi that colonise oilseed rape and how they affect intake and nutritive value

Summary
The presence of mycotoxigenic fungi and hence mycotoxins, in oilseed rape and in rapeseed cake/meal can cause economic losses due to spoilage, effect human health and result in reduced animal productivity and increased mortality. The project was implemented to determine the extent to which mycotoxin contamination of rapeseed products occurred in the study areas and to examine the likely consequences of this.
